Jessica is a Medical and Bioethicist whose work is focused on education and support around medical decision-making by parents caring for medically complex children and the unique needs of medically complex adults and children in palliative care and end-of-life planning.
Jessica has been a guiding force for countless families experiencing serious conflicts, such as mistaken allegations of Medical Child Abuse (MCA). She holds a BA in biochemistry, an MA in theology, an MS in biomedical ethics, a certificate in Disability and Health Policy, and completed a LEND fellowship at UMASS Chan Medical School. Jessica has led workshops for organizations like The Oley Foundation, MitoAction, and Rare New England, and has been published in the Journal of Pediatrics. Her work is rooted in 18 years of caregiving and advocacy for her two medically complex children, and she continues in their memory and honor.
